The Toyota Camry is one of the most popular sedans in the world not just for its style, but for its reliability and proven ability to outlast most vehicles. The Toyota Camry has been around since its first generation model was introduced in 1983. If you properly maintain and care for your Camry with routine checks and maintenance procedures, you can expect close to 300,000 miles of use out of your Toyota Camry before you should expect any major issues. Hello! I have a 1999 Toyota Camry. 4 cinlindur no sure on spelling. We just got 250,000 miles. Still running and going. We sprang and oil leak from railroad track but we keep up on the oil and every oil change on time. It just keeps going and going like the energizer bunny! We only had a few issues that were very minor! This car out runs the other car my spouse house. 2 of them to be exact and the old Camry still going!! Very very well made cars!
It’s sad always maintained my car with dealership and my transmission went bad 168,000 after all the maintenance getting done by Toyota Buna Park. It said I paid $7200 plus labor to get rebuild my transmission. I am never go back to dealers expensive and not reliable at all what they do in the back you cannot see Kent trust them anymore. Sorry to say that.
My is 350,000 now and still running Toyota Camry 2015 model

I agree about its reliability 100%. I have a Camry xSE 2024. It’s very good on fuel.
I have a 2002 Toyota Camry SE with the 3.0 V6. 355k and going strong
I do maintenance on a friend’s 98 Camry CE that has 375000 miles and going strong, oil changed every 3000 miles.
Also have a 98 XLE with 250000 miles and still strong.
They are the best on the road.
I have a 2010 Camry with 276000 miles. It has never had anything replaced other than normal things like battery tires and tuneups. I use synthetic oil every 5.000 miles. It’s been a great car. I wouldn’t hesitate to drive it to California from my house in North Carolina
I have a 2000 Toyota Solara with a cylinder engine, and automatic transmission. I have 272,000 miles on it. I do oil changes every 3000 miles. I maintain everything on my car .I have the timing belt and water pump changed every 90,000 like the manual calls for it.
My 2012 Toyota camry xle hybrid has 315,000 miles and still has the original brake pads. I have had no problems with it since new. I did have the spark plugs changed at around 250,000 but they were still good. The interior is excellent. The car uses about a quart of oil in 5,000 miles. I know the car will go at least 100,000 more miles without problems.
I own a 2005 Camry with the 2.4L engine. I purchased the car with 55k miles. It now has 228k miles and 80% are highway miles. It’s all about the maintenance. It gets full synthetic oil every 3k miles. I recently replaced the tie rods, starter, struts, the alternator and cleaned the mass air flow sensor.
I have a 09 Toyota Camry Se with 156,000 miles on it and a dead engine that Toyota knows about but cut off in 2018 and won’t fix it. It has a defect engine in it to where the piston rings are gone and you burn oil before it hits the ground. I had to put oil in it 2-3 times a week and Toyota did nothing. I brought the car 11/2015 with 77,777 miles on it. Starting having problems 2017. Mentioned it several times to the techs and finally another Toyota dealer looked at it and knew right off the bat the issue with my car and the defect it has. We sat down 7/2019 and Toyota cut it 10/2018. So now I’m stuck with a car that I love but can’t drive. 2nd Camry to fail me.
I love my Toyota! Changing brakes & rotors twice & got 77,000 miles?
My 2006 camry xle has 384884 and still going strong. The biggest thing fixed on it was recently a radiator. This is the best car I have ever owned and have every intention of driving it well past 400000. Thanks toyota your the best!
We have a 2002 Toyota Camry with 166,273 miles,in the last 2 years,we had to replace all 4 struts, all 4 wheel bearings, valve cover gasket, wiper motor, starter muffler, and now the left front axle needs replaced. Motor and transmission has held up good
I bought a Toyota Camry new in 1991 and drove it for twenty-five years before engine went out. I credit this to I only had it service at my Toyota dealer by Toyota qualified mechanics pretty much close to schedule maintenance. I also didn’t let other people drive my car, you never know how others will treat your car, and just keeping a clean interior and exterior. I might consider buying another one but I want a Toyota Highlander now.
2018 Blue Streak Blue XSE Currently 118k miles
Has had One Transmission exchange (under warranty)
Today, I have to install it’s third water pump.
The first lasted about 104k miles.
You get little to no warning of it’s immediate failure.
Love my 2022 Camry
2010 Camry hybrid with 220k when we gave it to our son 2 years ago. Original hybrid and 12v batteries. No engine or transmission issues ever. Only things replaced were set of rear brake pads and one rear hub bearing. Best car we ever had Our current 2021 Camry hybrid is shaping up to be just as reliable, and gets 50 mpg! They are amazing cars.
I have a 2004 Toyota Camry LE with 429,978 miles. It still runs good. No issues, one belt and one fuel pump. Oil changes is the key. Also a 2014 SE with 335,000 miles no issues.

I had a 2011 Toyota Camry until 2022 she was a great car but my sister needed a car so I gave her my car . I was talking to her on the phone one day her comment was we don’t need four vehicles and I looked at my husband and told him I wanted to give my car to my sister Jackie This is love.
I had an 04 camry with 338 thousand miles on it when I traded it in, still running at the time.
My 2005 Camry hit 344,000 miles this week. Last few years needed new exhaust system and new radiator. Very few maintenance issues over the years. Oil change every 5k miles.
I had a 2011 v6 camry se I sold it and it had 252.000 thousand miles best car I’ve ever owned so I went out bought me a 2022 camry se best cars ever made love it
I had a 2001 Toyota Camry I drove it for almost 6 months without changing the oil and when I did it still ran like a champ after 6 years of owning it the only thing I had to replace was the battery and the alternator and my rear tires it had over 200,000 miles on it I now own a 2018 Toyota Camry with only 4000 miles on it on the second owner and the last at that I love my car
I have a 2011 with 350,000+ and still runs like a champ. Not 1 issue in the 12yrs I’ve had it (knock on wood). 90%, if not more, of the miles are all highway so not sure if that’s a good thing or bad but the MOST reliable car I’ve ever had.
I recently purchased a 2021 Camry with 59,000 miles runs great love it
I just bought a 2025 Toyota Camry hybrid and I really love how it handles it’s even better than my Prius four touring can’t wait to see 500,000 miles hopefully I’ll get double that a million miles would deliver shock and awe but with lifetime oil changes and tire rotations I don’t see why not
My 2012 Honda Accord had 201700 miles on it when sold earlier this year – was a great value at $3000 for the buyer (a relative). The vehicle had no mechanical issues, oil was changed as prompted by the electronics (about every 7K miles) and I did the tranny fluid change and brake jobs myself.
I bought a preowned 2014 Camry in 2015. It now has just over 230k miles since I gave it to my son when he was in undergrad. It’s the Camry XLE v6. Still gets great gas mileage and excellent power.
Your comment seem spot on with my personal experience however please help me with my repeated expenses with snapping outside door handles .
300K was doable and a joy me.
2009 carrmy 330,000 and still going
Bought my 2002 Toyota Camry V6 from Toyota dealer as program car with 5000 miles on it. On January 14, 2025 my a 2002 Toyota Camry V6 just hit 500000! Best car I’ve ever had. Still runs great, regular oil changes. Great car!!

I have a 2007 carry with 394.000 km and still running need master cylinoid and valve covers. Did rade gas tank alternator v6 never used oil.
Me and my Camry have had an amazing road. I found it parked in the grass sitting for years untouched. I paid 200$ for it two years ago. And with 300$ I brought it back to running. Now. She has taken me 200,000 mi. In two years. She is at 416,000 miles and I’m gonna make sure she sees 1/2 mil.
Why did my 2015 Toyota Camry XSE’s transmission break down after only 170,000 miles?
I was blessed to be able to purchase a new 24′ Toyota Camry SE and it’s a wonderful car, an absolute dream to drive. It’s more than enough car for anyone in today’s world. The sport tuned suspension makes it extremely sporty in the corners and it’s technology and comfort makes it exceptional on longer road trips. Toyota engineers really design their vehicles to be worked on. Not to mention, most of the components that go into a Toyota are quality checked constantly during themanufacturing process. Im going to try and make this Toyota the last vehicle I ever need to buy. I do all of the maintenance and repairs on my vehicles so hopefully I can make her last. I have watched YouTube videos where an early 8th generation Toyota Camry has over 500k miles on it and I’d like to at least match that. Thank you Toyota for making such high quality, reliable vehicles.
