The Prius is back and better than ever for 2023 with the new 2023 Toyota Prius Hybrid. There are a few new things to look forward to including a new powertrain with a 2.0-liter gasoline engine for even better fuel efficiency than previous models. The latest Toyota Prius is designed to save you money at the pump with an outstanding 57 mpg combined in the LE version. If you would prefer AWD it’ll cost you a few extra miles per gallon to 49 mpg. You can expect the higher-end XLE and Limited trims to come loaded with features, but they also take their toll on fuel economy stalling out around 52/49mpg respectively. The new Prius has received a major power boost with its larger inline-four gasoline engine, jumping from 96 hp to an impressive 150! And if that wasn’t enough of an upgrade, the main electric motor and additional rear electric motor also make 111 hp and 40 hp respectively. The Prius has never been meant for off-roading so all of the increases in power and fuel efficiency are great for anyone needed to save on fuel throughout the year on their daily and weekly commutes.
